Job Description:
Eurofins Lancaster Laboratories PSS is searching for an Upstream Process Development Separations Scientist in West Point, PA.

Upstream Process Development Separations Scientist responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:





  • Method development of MALS applications (multi-angle light scattering) to support the client's conjugate vaccine pipeline

  • Support of vaccine upstream development experiments with in-process sample analysis using MALS

  • Lab support for sample analysis across different MALS instrumentation and software platforms

  • Scope may include method development of HPSEC-MALS-RI (size exclusion chromatography) and UPLC method development for monoclonal antibody assays (affinity, ion exchange, and size exclusion chromatography)

  • Familiarity with Waters EMPOWER and Wyatt Astra software is ideal

  • Scope of work includes GMP calibration and validation of the methods to be implemented at The client's internal manufacturing site(s)

  • GMP documentation work may include method validation protocols and reports


The ideal candidate would possess:





  • 2-4 years minimum experience in chromatography and/or biologics assays to support method development

  • General laboratory skills, experience with pipettes, UPLC/HPLC equipment, and other automated instrumentation.

  • GMP experience is preferred

  • Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills

  • Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude

  • Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies


Basic Minimum Qualifications:





  • B.S. / M.S. in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering or related science with 2-4 years of experience with chromatography and separations.

  • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.


Position is full-time, Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m., with overtime as needed. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of West Point, PA are encouraged to apply. Travel potential to the client's internal manufacturing sites and external contract manufacturing sites may be required.
