Duties and Responsibilities
1.Read blueprint designs of the product to be manufactured, understand the dimensions of the given component in order to properly program
2.Transfer product design criteria into machine requirements and design assembly cells and processes, manage machining fabrication by providing assembly instructions and routes
3.Develop program routines for the most efficient computer calculation of dimensional and machining requirements for each part
4.Write the formulas necessary to program mills and lathes using computer-aided manufacturing software by entering tool registries, start and end points, offsets, and conditional switches
5.Utilize CAM software to write programs for machining parts, tools, or sheet metal on computer numerically controlled (CNC) machine tools, run program simulations to ensure that machines and programs operate in an accurate manner
6.Test and modify existing parts programs for engineering changes or program improvements to meet work order specifications
7.Create and implement routine maintenance checklists, also performing basic troubleshooting when machines have software malfunction to make sure our machines stay into top operating shape
8.Transfer product design criteria into machine requirements and write computerized numerical control machine code
9.Participate in the preparation of department documentation, including operational instructions and/or standard procedures
10.Monitor all programs to make sure they follow blueprint instructions and safely and successfully complete their tasks
11.Comply with all safety rules and regulations

(1)Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Machine Tool Technology
(2)Minimum of 3 years’ experience in programming
(3)Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
(4)Able to clearly communicate and document non-conformance and perform root cause analysis
