Job Summary



  • The Data Analyst, Marketing is a support role for the 10-year forecasting process in the Marketing group at the Company. At the direction of the Marketing Manager, the role will:
    a. Capture data from colleagues,
    b. Administer and manipulate data in Excel and other forecasting systems,
    c. Generate charts and reports for interpretation and insight by colleagues,
    d. Recommend development of new tools and process to improve quality and efficiency of product,
    e. Deliver a 10-year forecast report, and
    f. Document the 10-year forecast process


Responsibilities



  • This department focuses on US and Canada crop protection for fungicides, herbicides, and insecticides (non-crop).

  • The Data Analyst, Marketing contractor will be focused on providing expert level analysis to aid the department in strategizing and formalizing the "10 year Forecast".

  • The analysis is centered on for where the market is going and what the sales growth will be. What is going up and what is going down and why.

  • The person who will fill this role will not serve in a strategic role.

  • The contractor will be an "Excel super user" that crunches numbers, makes charts, consolidates high volume mass data, and analyzes mass data to feed back to management.

  • The person will need to interface with others and learn an internal system called Amiga.


Qualifications



  • Heavy experience with "market forecasting"

  • Expert Microsoft Excel data manipulation, reporting and interpretation proficiency capabilities is a must
    o E.g. INDEX/MATCH, Macros, Links, Pivot tables, charts, consolidating spreadsheets/workbooks, uploading/downloading to legacy systems, conversion to Tableau workbooks, etc.
    o Generate various charts and reports from above

  • Intermediate Microsoft Word and PowerPoint capabilities

  • Intermediate Tableau capabilities helpful

  • Learn and work with new forecasting system
    o Training will be provided
    o Excel workbooks will be uploaded to / downloaded from master system

  • Document existing process and recommend process improvements

  • Can work independently, as well as interact and reach out to team members to accomplish deliverables

  • Ability to focus on deliverables and develop path to accomplish

  • Detail-oriented and problem-solving oriented mindset

  • Focus on data quality

  • Ability to work in fast-paced, dynamic environment

  • Enjoys managing data and developing reports

  • Excellent communication skills
