Job Description:
Responsible for guiding design and development vis a vis product licensees for their respective categories. Oversees all phases of product development from concept state to production for respective product categories. He/she must ensure products developed are in line with the Brand's product strategy and aesthetic. Responsibilities also supports the commercial end of the business by ensuring that product offered to the marketplace meets the demand for product segmentation and maximizes new distribution opportunities.

• Provide design/merchandising direction and approvals to Licensees for various product categories including:
o Accessories
o Footwear
• Partner with Senior Director of Product Development and Merchandising to identify/research seasonal trends within industry. Gauge new opportunities to drive volume across all channels of distribution
• Engage and Collaborate between differentiated product categories to achieve a shared vision regarding product ideas, designs, fabrications and quality requirements, specifically related to channels of distribution, and maximizing the brand aesthetic
• Collaborate with Creative Director on executing Seasonal Direction in Set Room, providing concise direction for licensed categories. Identify Seasonal Brand Messaging, key items and integrate looks into Set Room
• Support business team and guide strategic decisions on new product development: specifically focusing in on commercial viability in segment and channel. Focus on DTC differentiation and broader distribution opportunities
• Partner with business & marketing teams to prioritize brand direction with product licensees.

Job Requirements:
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
• Working knowledge of buying and merchandising best practices
• Excellent organizational and communication skills with attention to detail
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication, presentation, and organizational skills
• Must be a strategic thinker, persuasive and collaborative
• Ability to understand and explain the brand’s needs
• 5 years of experience as a Product Approval Coordinator or Product Approval Associate
• Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Merchandising, Business Administration or related field
• Licensing experience a plus
