Job Description:
ABG is in search for an experienced Brand Manager focusing on global Active and Street Lifestyle brands. The Brand Manager will work closely with each licensee, our internal Business Development team and Marketing. The ideal candidate for the position is a diligent and energetic candidate who will thrive in a fast-paced environment. One who has the knowledge and ability to support building strategic brand plans, can manage multiple brands, categories, and territories and has product knowledge and perspective on the ever-changing retail landscape.

Reporting directly to the VP of Active and Street Lifestyle, the Brand Manager is responsible for managing and leading the direction for premium brands as well as managing and coordinating global license partners. The Brand Manager will work closely with licensees to execute brand marketing, and overall strategic vision. Partner and support Business Development; share network of potential partners, support new deal negotiations and deal points, and be proactive with legal team on amendments and renewals.

Role and Responsibilities:

Build and held accountable to achieve brandís strategy, goals, objectives, financial and product architecture to drive sales and revenue.
Participate in brand strategy sessions delivering analysis of consumer target, brand trends, and brand sales data.
Engage, inspire and align on brandís goals and objectives with Marketing team on to build the brandís marketing plans including; instore activations and events, PR, as well as social media & digital executions.
Take an active role in Brand Summits communicating brand message to partners.
Serve as the first point of contact for all licensees to develop and maintain relationships and be a brand ambassador for the ABG.
Consistently deliver brand message to each licensee. Ensure all licensees execute on vision and bring message to the market place.
Understand each licenseesí unique expertise and challenges. Provide support where issues are that may create barriers to success. Build relationships and work with licensee to create strategies to remove barriers and to achieve success.
Ensure licensee compliance based on contractual terms such as royalty reporting, audits, forecasting, marketing, product development and insurance.
Partner with licensee teams; participate in key seasonal sales meetings, merchandise line planning/assortment meetings, key retail partner meetings.
Partner with Approvals Manager and Creative team on all seasonal concept and product development information. Manage Product Development Calendar; timely submission & approvals, cads, samples, and pricing.
Acquire, analyze and communicate all sales and quarterly royalty reporting, including but not limited to providing monthly updates on the sales performance from licensees.
Compile retail sales data and analyze market trends to provide growth initiatives, resolutions to challenges, and apply operational strategies to maximize royalties and brand value.
Maintain brand integrity across product lines, advertising, and all other internal and external communication as it pertains to assigned brand/category/pillar.
Oversee the direction, implementation, execution and continuous improvement of the licensing processes.
Meet with retailers on an ongoing basis to promote the company and brands as it pertains to licensed goods categories.

Job Requirements:

Four years experience in business development, brand management, wholesale and/or licensing.
Proven track record in brand management. Apparel and/or Accessories wholesale licensing and global brand experience.
History/Understanding of licensing business and agreements are identified and negotiated.
Strong analytical and business skills.
Experience and knowledge to budget, forecast, and analyze wholesale and retail businesses and revenue drivers.
Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
Must exhibit excellent attention to detail and good organizational and follow-through skills.
Must have strong computer proficiency and working knowledge of MS Office. (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Must possess great organizational skills, communication skills, and have the ability to manage cross-functional team projects.
Bachelor's degree required. MBA a plus.
