GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION

Responsible for assisting the master scheduler with monitoring customer demand related to inventory and production.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Assists in ensures that resources, capacity, and the flow path can meet internal and external demands.
Aids in coordinating activities to manage changes in supply and demand.
Assists in managing inventory and makes adjustments based on customers and business conditions.
Supports the master scheduling process into the company's supply chain.
Builds master schedules, as needed.
Works with customers to communicate expected deliver dates and resolve all issues that may arise
Performs other related duties as required or assigned.

Skills and Abilities

Effectively communicates information and responds to questions in person-to-person and small group situations with customers, clients, the general public, and other employees of the organization.
Maintains confidentiality and uses discretion with business information.
Reads and understands documents such as policy manuals, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Writes routine reports and correspondence.
Works with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference and fundamentals of algebra, geometry, and trigonometry.
Utilizes common-sense understanding in order to carry out written, oral, or diagrammed instructions.
Deals with problems involving several known variables in situations of routine nature.
Plans the time, method, manner, and/or performance sequence of own work; may also occasionally assist in planning work assignments performed by others within a limited area of operation.
Frequently makes decisions of minor and major importance, which may affect the work operations of other employees and/or clientele to a minimal degree.
Completes some moderately repetitive tasks.
Uses noncomplex machines and equipment (adding machines, calculators, copy/fax machines, etc.).

Education and Experience

Equivalent of four years of high school (required).
Associate's degree in business, management, or a related degree (preferred).
Zero to three years of relevant education or experience in planning, purchasing, logistics, or a related field (required).

Computer Skills

Intermediate: Spreadsheet.
Basic: Word processing/typing, alphanumeric data entry.
