Job Description:
Conducting and administering fiscal operations, including accounting, planning budgets, authorizing expenditures, establishing rates for services, and coordinating financial reporting, overseeing the purchase, management and security of all medications, and medical supplies in accordance with guidelines and state statutes and directing, supervising and evaluating work activities of pharmacy technicians, technical, clerical, service, maintenance, and other personnel (5-10 people). Negotiating with manufacturers or wholesalers for discounts and rebates based on volume sales or market share. Assisting manufacturers with inventory challenges and relations with Managed Care Organizations (MCO). Ensuring pharmacy compliance with all 340B Program requirements to prevent diversion and duplicate discounts as outlined in the contract pharmacy guidelines. Overseeing the purchase, management and security of all medications, pumps and medical supplies in accordance with guidelines and state statute. Ensuring ongoing awareness and compliance with laws pertaining to health care associated with Pharmacy. Reviewing and analyzing facility activities and data to aid planning and cash and risk management and to improve service utilization. Implementing flow and productivity measures that will achieve the Company’s financial performance targets and customer expectations. Controlling expenses and purchasing and maintaining the inventory. Assisting with prior authorization & data reporting. Working with staff to execute core process and quality initiatives to continually improve overall quality of service to customers. Developing cost management strategies. Directing or conducting recruitment, hiring and training of personnel. Establish work schedules and assignments for staff, according to workload, space and equipment availability. Maintaining awareness of government regulations, health insurance changes, and financing options. Resolving customer complaints and grievances. Working to continually improve the overall quality of services, coordinate business functions with pharmacist on staff to ensure implementation of daily operational quality and cost maintenance strategies and perform internal audit for regulatory compliance.


Job Requirements:
Minimum requirements

Education

Must possess MBA in Healthcare Management or related field.

Experience

3 years of experience in the position offered.

Special skills

Aforementioned 3 years of experience must include all of the following skills:
