Job Description:

JOB SUMMARY: The Inventory Control Manager is responsible for insuring that physical inventories across the Company are properly controlled and valued through process development, implementation, training, monitoring and analysis and must work collaboratively with the Stores and other business functions to address inventory control issues. The position is responsible to coordinate and support all physical inventories and work with the Stores and Distribution Center to investigate root cause and recommend corrective actions. This position will also work with the Company's Supply Chain partners to assist with projects to improve inventory forecasting and planning.

Duties and Responsibilities:
* Coordinate and support all Physical Inventories across the Company.
* Analyze physical inventory results, determine root cause, develop and implement corrective actions to prevent discrepancies in inventories.
* Evaluate current store and distribution center inventory processes and develop/recommend/implement/train updated processes for control of inventory including a cycle count program at the stores.
* Develop and maintain inventory reporting and relevant KPIs to drive inventory accuracy/control/management.
* Monitor for potential inventory obsolescence issues and work with the business to mitigate the exposure.
* Investigate and correct inventory costing discrepancies.
* Work with Procurement and Product Screen Committee to create the process for continuous improvement of forecasting techniques, method, and approach. Establish and utilize best methods (statistical models and software tools) for creating forecasts and respective inventory targets. Recommend adjustments to forecast and inventory targets based on changes in demand and market trends across all commodities. Coordinate with Procurement to review supply demand and determine course of actions to bridge gaps. Identify/communicate/recommend action plans for correction
* Responsible for extracting, summarizing, manipulating and compiling data in varying levels, designing reports, and analyzing information to present a concise and meaningful analysis which includes detailed financial data from available systems.
* Other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

* Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Finance, Business, or related field; Bachelors Preferred.
* 3-5 years of experience leading an inventory control function serving multiple locations;
* Excellent MS Office skills supported by outstanding oral and written abilities;
* Expert ability with Microsoft Excel and Access
* Ability to evaluate financial and business indicators and translate data into actionable replenishment information to drive results.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Retail and/or automotive store-level experience, with strong knowledge of store operations;
* Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize in accordance with the challenges of a rapidly changing environment;
* Ability to take initiative and possess strong sense of urgency;
* Strong background in statistics and math/mathematical modeling.
