SeniorStrategic Planner - Parsippany, NJ 


Ogilvy CommonHealth is looking for a Senior Strategic Planner who is excited about joining a deeply-rooted planning culture, which celebrates adding value and creating agency differentiation in the healthcare space through original thinking, compelling presentations, and lasting relationships. 


Specific Responsibilities include:



  • Leading the planning process for at least one major client



  • Learning, internalizing, using, teaching and sharing Ogilvy's strategic tool set and third party research offerings



  • Understanding the client's business needs, and how our strategies will deliver on their objectives and KPIs



  • Developing fresh insights about the attitudes, needs, behaviors and relationships of all stakeholders

  • Staying on top of and sharing out competitive and category landscapes - identifying white space opportunities



  • Uncovering and interpreting relevant cultural and social trends



  • Developing and delivering the brand strategy, from vision and essence to positioning and messaging architecture



  • Writing concise, inspiring creative briefs; partnering with creative teams to ensure that creative transports the strategic objective



  • Evaluating and contributing to channel and tactical plans to ensure that the strategic intent of the positioning is achieved



  • Offering value-added thinking and deliverables beyond current assignments

  • Recording and sharing accurate notes and implications; writing smart point of view documents; developing organized, interesting presentations that tell a compelling story

  • "Connect the dots": Integrate research findings to develop brand and communications implications



  • Partner effectively with both clients and agency team members, including account, creative, medical, digital/channel planning, analytics, media and more.



  • Evaluate creative through a strategic lens, and deliver those evaluations constructively and helpfully



  • Bring forth strategy in evocative and expressive presentations, delivered with confidence and authority



  • Develop, run and move results forward in rockstar workshops



Qualifications



  • Energy, intellect,  curiosity, humility, vision, a passion for what planners do, hands-on working style, leadership qualities

  • 4-7+ years planning experience at an advertising agency OR relevant educational/industry experience



  • Bachelor's Degree

  • Powerpoint, Word, Excel skills
