Job Description:

Position Summary: The Internal Communication Specialist is responsible for supporting the organizational and department specific communication needs of Reinhart and its business leaders, by driving and executing various communication initiatives and programs. The role will manage the day-to-day execution of employee communication efforts, including the company intranet, employee events, employee engagement activities, internal presentations, event support, as needed, newsletters, and other communication vehicles. This is a fast-paced role involving project management, creative writing, editing, and content development.

Position Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

* Managing company intranet, including company news and announcements and ongoing content generation. Source and write news for posting on the internal intranet site or platforms.
* Performing research pertaining to communications.
* Managing and creating content for employee newsletters, company updates, and announcements.
* Providing guidance to Divisions on their internal communication needs, such as Marlin Boards (Reinhart TV), personnel announcements, etc.
* Managing editorial process for communication materials prepared by other corporate departments and Divisions, including articles, case studies, fliers, etc.
* Designing and implementing communication and engagement programs that reinforce company culture and educate and empower employees to be ambassadors for the company.
* Providing guidance to corporate departments and Divisions in order to identify internal messages, content opportunities, and to keep employees informed of our corporate and local initiatives.
* Determining the process for employees to share ideas and to collaborate on communication and engagement initiatives.
* Supporting Communications Manager in planning and executing company meetings, events, and special projects.
* Developing resources and materials to help Reinhart recruit, hire and retain the best talent, including our onboarding guide and values messaging.
* Administering creative solutions for communication vehicles and employee engagement initiatives.
* Any other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, English, Journalism or related field.

  • At least 3 years of related and progressively more responsible experience.

  • Excellent writing, spelling, and grammar skills.

  • Experience with electronic communications (intranet, video, social media).

  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment within a matrixed organization.

  • Strong organizational skills, must be able to handle multiple tasks/projects at one time and be able to effectively handle changing conditions.

  • Independent and results-oriented, with a strong work ethic, tenacity and a persistent approach.

  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing; ability to communicate effectively with different levels within an organization and support change initiatives; confidence in negotiating with and persuading others, and ability to facilitate team meetings.

  • Good listening skills; ability to understand issues and support development of appropriate, audience-specific solutions.

  • Strategic and innovative thinking skills.

  • Effective stakeholder engagement; ensures communications practices meet the needs of the varied internal stakeholder groups

  • Strong knowledge and consistent use of technology; proficiency in MS Office suite including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

  • This position must pass a post-offer background and drug test.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Experience with content design.
