Ameritas Life Insurance Corp is seeking a Client Engagement Specialist to drive the business by working with clients concerning their Life Insurance, and educate them on options they have surrounding the surrender or replacement of their policy, with the end goal being attempting to retain assets and clients for the company.

Position Highlights:

• Proven history of advancement within the company

• Customer service experts for Ameritas.

What you will do:

• To communicate by telephone, email, and mail with policyholders and agents on all qualifying cases that are subject to surrender, replacement, or projected lapse.

• To educate policyholders and agents on the potential consequences of actions such as loss of value to surrender charges, loss of insurability, and taxable events.

• Communicate with policyholders who are considering surrender or replacement, or whose policies are in danger of premature lapse, to explain why their existing policy is valuable and why it may be to their advantage to keep existing coverage in force.

• A strong understanding of life insurance products, 1035 exchange regulations, and relevant taxation of proceeds.

• Strong communication skills, the ability in explain complex issues to clients in terms that are easier to understand.

• Ability to analyze and evaluate illustrations from both Ameritas and competitors for the purpose of assisting the customer and/or agent in understanding the available options and potential consequences of their decision.

• To work independently and prioritize work.

• Responsible for complete, accurate, and detailed documentation of conservation activities, including but not limited to keeping a log of contacts made, tracking of policies lost or conserved and related cash value and premium, and detailed notes of phone conversations

• Maintain the required amount of contacts with clients and agents, while also maintaining department standards on assets retained.

• To work closely with the team leader and/or department manager regarding cases of unusual complexity or potential impact to the company.

• Work closely with Customer Service, New Business, Underwriting, Legal, Sales, and other departments within the company in order to coordinate complete solutions for clients, monitoring the progress throughout the process.

Marginal Functions:

• Work on special projects as directed by Manager/Team Leader, and take advantage of opportunities for personal growth and further development of industry knowledge.

• Provide back up to trade desk, and handle overflow calls

What you will need:

• A college degree or equivalent experience.

• Minimum of 3 years related experience in financial services field.

• Previous insurance sales experience preferred.

• LOMA designations preferred, but not required. State Insurance license preferred, but not required

• Series 6 Securities License is required within 6 months of accepting the position. Failure to obtain license will result in termination.

• Analytical and problem solving skills, organizational skills, customer service skills and the ability to work with detail and meet deadlines and time sensitive project schedules.
