Founded in 1999, Tung Fong Food Services has provided warehousing, wholesale and distribution services to clients in the restaurant supplies marketplace throughout Canada and the United States. In 2016, Tung Fong reached over $15M sales by providing the restaurant industry with a complete turnkey solution, fresh produce, meats, seafood and restaurant material supplies under one roof. The company has recently expanded its business into a space of 50,000 square foot warehouse in Mississauga, Ontario. In an effort to maintain a high degree of customer service and competitiveness with its end-to end solutions in their supply chain, the company is seeking to augment its current staffing and add a permanent, full-time Wholesale Buyer with experience in sourcing, selecting and negotiating on behalf of the company’s supply chain needs.

About the Position
This position is with an emphasis on purchasing and responsible for merchandise selection, supplier evaluation and vendor arrangement. Additionally, the successful candidate would provide impeccable negotiation skill to negotiate prices, discounts and credit terms, and establish and maintain a good relationship with suppliers.

Responsibilities
• The incumbent will take a role in sourcing, selecting and negotiating all purchases of restaurant material supplies, as well as transportation arrangement.
• Review the requirements of establishments and determine quantity and type of products to purchase
• Select the restaurant material supplies which best fits the establishment’s requirements
• Oversee distribution of products and maintain adequate stock levels
• Interview suppliers and negotiate prices, discounts and credit terms
• Study market reports and sales promotion materials
• Attend and participate of trade shows and conferences


Job Requirements:
Qualifications
• Completion of secondary school
• 2-3 years of related work experience preferably in wholesale
• Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to conduct contract negotiation in support of complex and potentially long-term agreements to the mutual satisfaction of all parties
• Excellent supplier management skills including the ability to develop and maintain supplier relationships
• Demonstrated knowledge in both western and oriental restaurant material supplies
• Must be work independently as well as within the team oriented environment to provide guidance to less experienced team members
• Must be computer savvy and have strong background in MS-Office products
• Demonstrated high-degree of client focus
• Must be organized, initiative and accurate
• Must have excellent oral communication and effective interpersonal skills
• This job requires 20-25% travels within Canada and to USA. The incumbent must be willing to travel

Wage
$22.50 / Hour, $40,950 per annum

35 Hours / Week
