Job Description:
The Leadership Development Manager reports directly to the Regional Vice President supporting District and Territory initiatives. This includes working closely with all District Managers assigned to the Region to meet hiring and training needs. Duties include delivering management training programs to Area Supervisors, recruiting, screening, interviewing and hiring new Area Supervisors, developing and implementing FSO process improvements. The Leadership Development Manger shares in the responsibility of sales goals, control of budgets and the effective communication and execution of corporate sales and product strategies.

Prepares in advance for each recruiting assignment (following the recruiting guidelines established),
and follows through on each opening until an employment offer is made, accepted and a Training program has been completed.
Complies with EEOC guidelines, completes all new hire paperwork promptly, controls travel expenses using the department resume tracking system, and assists District Sales Managers in building benches of qualified candidates for future openings.
Develops and coaches new Area Supervisors, Territory Leads, and other field sales support staff. Works with FSO management, Area Supervisors, and accounts to train, learn and identify hiring needs, changes in the selling environment and customer needs to ensure these are addressed in the training program, recruiting assignments, and ongoing training.
Develops, implements and conducts internal and field seminars including Emerging Leaders program and other management programs as needed. This entails researching all background material; staying abreast of new training methods and techniques; preparing all in-house audio visual, workbooks, role play scenarios, films, etc. This includes home study courses and e training used by FSO and subsidiaries in the absence of a trainer.
Collaborates with internal FSO support team to monitor and evaluates all sales programs and communications to determine new training needs. Evaluate current manuals, forms, and other training documentation to ensure it is current and effective. Implement changes as needed.
Develops professional aptitude by attending seminars, cross training with internal departments to build rapport with key managers who have constant contact with the Field.
As assigned by the RVP, works with DM's to schedules "work-with" sessions and create development programs with Area Supervisors to advance skills building of Leadership Competencies.
As assigned by the RVP, monitors the performance of each District and Territory Metrics to ensure efficient and effective service and program execution. Will conduct follow-up work-with sessions to train Area Supervisors to effectively manager teams to meet set metric goals.
Evaluates and recommends District/Territory adjustments and supervises approved changes.
Coordinates and directs Regional Personnel to ensure vacant territories, and special projects and assignments are covered.
Acts as the FSO liaison with assigned Regional chains. Makes regular contact with assigned Account Managers and makes joint headquarter calls as required.
As assigned, collaborates with District Managers and AE responsible for chain headquarters selling, the planning and presentation of programs, new store acquisition, sales growth objectives, and follow through at the store level.
Makes recommendation to the Regional Vice President on policy, programs, products, and personnel.
Completes required paperwork and submits it as instructed by the Regional Vice President.
Reviews District or Regional personnel's controllable and uncontrollable expenses as assigned and recommends action whenever necessary.
Reports to the Regional Vice President any competitive activity within the Region. Also, implements programs to negate competitive activity in the Region.
Performs other activities as assigned by the Regional Vice President. Multitasking and prioritizing to ensure all activities are given the appropriate level of attention while ensuring all critical deadlines are met.


Job Requirements:
3 years of prior sales leadership experience to include at least 2 year as an Area Supervisor for AG or related supervisory experience.
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong presentation and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated marketing/sales ability through a proven record of increasing responsibility and achievement.
Demonstrated ability to lead, coach and motivate sales and maintain a high level of morale and sales productivity.
Broad based business knowledge.
Excellent time management, human relations and customer service skills.
Valid driver's license.
