Job Description:

The Enterprise Information Systems Manager is responsible for the daily operations of the Information Systems department. The Enterprise Information Systems Manager will plan, organize and oversee the company's network and computer infrastructure systems and platforms. This includes addressing and resolving complex technical issues, developing, implementing, and administering enterprise networks and systems, and providing technical expertise to internal/external contacts in a 24 hour 7 days a week operation. Provide guidance to Technical Support Specialists. Support 3,000 users and 2,500 desktops. This individual will be responsible for ensuring the stable, secure and efficient operation of all network and information systems. The Enterprise Information Systems Manager will work with other department managers and supervisors to improve company's processes and develop policies and procedures.


Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Establish performance goals for the team.

  • Develop plans and oversee the implementation of enterprise infrastructure platforms. Establish hardware and software migration plans, design and analyze requirements and specifications and develop production testing and change control procedures. Provide specifications for the acquisition of tools as required.

  • Perform high-level root cause analysis for service interruption recovery and creating preventive measures.

  • Lead efforts to address and resolve complex technical issues with internal/external contacts. Assist with problem resolution on referred calls from Network Operations Center. Provide Tier 3 support for the enterprise environment, using Microsoft AD, VMware vCenter, SRM, HP EVA/3Par, VOIP and HP-UX.

  • Build and maintain Virtual Systems, using VMWARE and Hypervisor. The Enterprise Engineering Team supports the virtual server environment and is accountable for 24/7 support.

  • Address and resolve complex technical issues with internal/external customers, including assisting with problems escalated through the Desktop Support (Tier-1) and Systems Administration Center (Tier-2).

  • Initiate and create enterprise strategies and plans for systems administration and security. Prepare and maintain storage management plans, including routine backups, long-term archives, and disaster recovery support. Collaborate in the development and deployment of the Disaster Recovery Plan.

  • Analyze enterprise job, system, and hardware performances. Develop and implement short and long-term system performance improvements.


Requirements:



  • Bachelor's degree in an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field.

  • 10 years of information technology experience, at least 5 years of which include managing enterprise software applications with hands-on experience with at least one of the following: Windows Server, VMware ESX, VOIP and UNIX.

  • Current certification is required in at least one of the following: MCSE in Windows 2008 (or higher), VMware VCP5 (or higher), or NEC UNIVERGE 3C certification.

  • Thorough understanding of IT management processes like ITIL.

  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of enterprise hardware, software, and associated equipment.

  • Exemplary analytical and creative skills to find solutions to complex technical problems.

  • Analyze both successes and failures for clues to improvement. Be willing to experiment and explore new avenues to find solutions. Enjoy the challenge of unfamiliar tasks. Quickly grasp the essence and the underlying structure of concepts.

  • Bring the creative ideas of others to market. Demonstrate good judgment about which creative ideas and suggestions will work. Have a good sense about managing the creative process of others. Facilitate effective brainstorming and project how potential ideas may play out in the marketplace.

  • Ability to use rigorous logic and methods to solve difficult problems with effective solutions. Can see hidden problems and is excellent at honest analysis. Look beyond the obvious and seek answers across multiple dimensions.
