Job Description:


Drive profitable growth across the McCain portfolio of potatoes and appetizer products within an agreed portfolio of accounts. Responsibilities include; account planning, presentation of company products and services, customer service representation and territory understanding of basic sales analysis. Role requires ownership of gold level accounts and silver level accounts.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop account specific plans to consistently deliver volume and profit targets, as well as, annual Key Performance Indicator (KPI's) objectives.

  • Be an McCain Sales Solutions expert; use framework and principles in every customer interaction.

  • Lead "Enterprise/Collaborative" selling process to include, but not limited to marketing, culinary, pricing, forecasting, finance etc for agreed account list.

  • Coordinate new product development through accepted protocol.

  • Conduct product evaluations with operator account for potato and prepared foods products.

  • Complete monthly sales and opportunity progress reports. Use CRM when available.

  • Make 'Performance at McCain' a way of life.

  • Proactively work with manager on own personnel development areas and initiate action plans as needed in a timely manner.

  • Manage to T&E budgets to optimize ROI.

  • Demonstrate principled salesmanship within the collaborative and team-oriented environment always striving to do business the right way.

Required Education, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:


Bachelor's degree in business or equivalent

Experience Required

  • 3+ years foodservice sales experience and foodservice industry dynamics knowledge; including broker and distributor dynamics.

  • Personal characteristics should include; a strong work ethic, the willingness and capability to be a self starter, the ability to make informed, independent judgments, strong interpersonal skills, negotiating and communication at all levels of the organization.

  • Ability to persuade and influence others. Ability to develop and deliver presentations. Ability to create, compose and edit written materials. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Computer skills must include: Microsoft Office Suite - Excel, PowerPoint, Word.

  • Work requires significant travel to current and potential clients. This requires the possession of a valid state driver's license.

  • Demonstrated ability and willingness to manage a large geographical territory requires willingness to work a flexible schedule and occasional overnight travel.

This position covers the territory of New England and upstate New York. Successful candidates will currently reside in this territory (Greater Boston area is ideal) as there is no relocation assistance available for this position.
