Dedicated support to buyer, providing insight in implementing a wine category plan.



ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS



  • Applies space planning practices to support SKU rationalization, item assortment, space -to-sales analysis, planograms, and department resets.

  • Uses syndicated data to identify opportunity gaps, competitive environment within chain marketing area, and channel facts.

  • Provides strategic/tactical planning to support category role, growth objectives, pricing/promotion planning, and internal sales data analysis.

  • Develops concise financial evaluations of chain account business.

  • Develops and maintains project files.

  • Knowledge of all department hardware and software.

  • Updates and maintains master item list.

  • Executes all assignments delegated by Account Executive, Director of Category Management, and General Sales Manager.

  • When necessary, manages personnel assigned to re-set specific store shelves, and the cold box in accordance with pre-determined schematic changes approved by store management.

  • Maintains good oral and written communication.

  • Practices safe work and driving habits and, if accountable for others, ensures their understanding and compliance of such habits.

  • Maintains satisfactory attendance, to include timeliness.

  • Responsible for understanding and complying with applicable quality, environmental and safety regulatory considerations. If accountable for the work of others, responsible for ensuring their understanding and compliance.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS



  • High school diploma or GED.

  • 2 years demonstrated sales experience.

  • Required to successfully pass physical demands testing.

  • Valid, unrestricted California driver's license and clean DMV record.

  • Required to lift and move 45-57 pound cases of product.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS



  • Associate's degree plus 2 years demonstrated sales experience.





  • Leadership aptitude or skill.

  • Good communication skills; sticks to point.

  • Good problem solving skills.

  • Good time management skills.

  • Good organization skills.

  • Demonstrated teamwork experience.
