Decypher currently seeks a talented Personnel Specialist to provide a full range of administrative support to the 711th Human Performance Wing (711 HPW).

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the planning and organizing of military personnel activities and management of the Base Level Service Delivery Model (BLSDM), as well as the development of manning requirements and allocation of personnel to authorized positions
  • Coordinate personnel actions, plans and BLSDM activities with other functions such as medical, chaplain, information processing, legal, budget, materiel and operations; ensure integration of personnel and P05 programs, maintain liaison with users; promote customer satisfaction; monitor personnel system management (PSM) activities associated with analysis, design, programming, computer operations, personnel system security and equipment management
  • Establish priorities and monitor status of personnel and P05 programs and functions. Informs new employees of processing procedures, the process for obtaining CAC cards and locations of offices where they must report for in-processing
  • Assist and advising with the evaluation of military personnel and PSM functions and activities
  • Review and inspect PSM operations for compliance with policies, directives and procedures; monitor implementation and application personnel program and procedures; ensure timeliness, propriety and accuracy of transactions; analyze statistical data and reports to determine effectiveness and efficiency of Military Personnel Data Systems (MilPDS) and BLSDM actions; and identify and advise management of adverse trends that will impact individual personnel records or effectiveness of personnel program
  • Propose appropriate corrective actions; develop or revise procedures to improve effectiveness and eliminate deficiencies; and monitor MilPDS and BLSDM equipment use, scheduling, processing and maintenance
  • Assist in the management of personnel and PSM functions
  • Provide recommendations to resolve complex issues involving personnel programs, interpretation of policies and procedures and use and application of MilPDS and its products
  • Provide casualty assistance and assisting with the administration of the casualty program. The contractor shall prepare related reports and documents and assist next of kin of deceased and missing personnel to apply for death gratuity pay, arrears of pay, veteran affairs, social security, government and commercial life insurance and other benefits
  • Assist in the oversight of personnel activities and functions and in the inspection of personnel activities for compliance with policies and directives; report discrepancies and recommend corrective actions
  • Monitor personnel actions for timeliness, propriety and accuracy and ensure proper counseling of individuals on personnel programs, procedures and benefits
  • Organize and compile management data and submit reports
  • Assist with orderly room administrative functions; preparing and processing administrative support actions relating to unit programs such as military sponsor, drug demand program, government travel card program, officer and enlisted promotion program, Personnel Information File (PIF) management, unit reserve coordinator- Individual Mobilization Augmentee (IMA) program, fitness program, squadron information and enlisted and officer professional military education; and processing dental, immunization and physical rosters
  • Assist in the management of the unit leave control program and maintain suspense system for personnel actions and correspondence
