Job Description: DESCRIPTION: Coordinates or facilitates workshops, seminars, meetings, and community based training. Responsible for maintenance of a reporting system as mandated by funding agency. Maintains services delivery data of clients, submits required reports by established due dates. Provides counseling and intervention services in substance to tribal members and families. Represents the ASAP at various IHS and community meetings. Plan and conduct programs to prevent substance abuse, to improve health and counseling services in the community. Assess and treat individuals with mental, emotional or substance abuse problems, including abuse of alcohol, tobacco and other drugs.
Job Requirements: QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in Mental Health and Substance Abuse, MHP or other related fields; or a minimum of five years’ experience. Master’s degree preferred. Certification as a LPC,LADC, under LPS Supervision, or on LADC Track. Valid Oklahoma Driver’s License. Seminole Nation Tribal/Indian Preference: Qualified Seminole Tribal Member/Indian Applicants will receive preference over Non-Indian Applicants. Priority in selection will be given to Indian candidates who present proof of eligibility for Indian preference. Verification in the form of a Tribal Enrollment Card or Certificate of Degree of Indian Blood (CDIB) must be provided with the application of a candidate who claims Indian preference.
