Job Description:
NPTS, Inc., an Engineering Design and Construction Management firm has an immediate opening for an Electrical Engineer for a location in White Plains, NY. The Electrical Engineer must have more than fifteen (15) years of all-round electrical power industry experience with an engineering degree both in low and high voltage power systems. That includes distribution voltages; and medium to HV transmission voltage systems. Utility and design consulting company experience in addition to project coordination and project management experience is preferred. Strong engineering knowledge of HV substation equipment, relay protection systems and controls; and utility interface rules and coordination is needed to review system drawings and to provide effective technical guidance to project implementation contractors.
This position is expected to start ASAP and last a minimum of one year.

Job Requirements:
Skills Needed: Effective written and verbal communication skills for the coordination and management of large customer projects is essential. Exposure to railroad HV power supplies and substation design will be a plus. Candidate must have a BS Degree in Electrical Engineering; a Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering is preferred. Candidate must have a NYS P.E. License.
