Job Description: We are a global engineering specialist solutions provider with over 11,000 employees operating in 28 countries worldwide. Due to continued growth in our operations, we are looking for aProject HR Manager to join our Technical Support Services (TSS) team on an Oil and Gas project NE of Fort McMurray.
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To manage, in conjunction with the Country HR Manager the human resources function within a project or project(s) with particular regard to policies and activities in the areas of recruitment and selection, training, wage and salary structures, safety and industrial relations as they affect the company within that project. To work with the Country HR Manager on implementing Corporate and Regional HR initiatives.
• Liaise with project and operations to review upcoming manpower requirements. • Liaise with Country HR on Performance Management requirements for the project(s). • Responsible for facilitating training of management in regards to their performance management/review responsibilities. • Develop and promote HR policies and procedures within the project. • Interpret and communicate corporate policies and procedures to management and staff on the project(s). • Continuously identify areas where local/project HR polices can be established. • Prepare various HR reports in relation to the project(s). • Manage recruitment activities with the Project Recruiter. • Manage leave requests and track visa and work permit expiry dates. • Ensure that all data is accurate and up to date and entered into the HRIS. • Ensure that personnel records are maintained and updated regularly. • Resolve Employee/Labour Relation issues with employees within the project in conjunction with relevant line managers and the Country HR Manager. • Assist with the development and implementation of regional Labour Relations Policies and Procedures and ensure that they comply with the Labour Laws of the Province/Country. • Adhere to project(s) and country compensation structures, policies and procedures. • Responsible for training and development in relation to the project(s). • Overseeing the coordination of camp accommodation and travel to and from site.
EDUCATION SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE • Post-Secondary Degree (Business, HR) • 5 - 8 years related site work experience in a management role • CHRP designation an asset • Employment Law and Labour relations experience • Strong negotiation skills • Strong recruiting skills
