Job Description:
Hospital is seeking a CT-Surgery Physician Assistant (cardio-thoracic surgery PA), First Assistant. The candidate will provide healthcare services typically performed by a physician, under the supervision of a physician. Will conduct complete physicals, provide treatments, be first assist in OR (endoscopic vein harvest), prescribe medications and counsel patients. Will round in hospital and see patients in clinic. Will have call responsibilities.
Job Requirements:
Candidate must have 3+ years minimum experience in both Cardiothoracic and Vascular services. At least one year post-graduation is preferred. Must be a graduate of an AMA approved Physician's Assistant Program.
Licenses/Certifications needed:
Valid state Physician's Assistant LIcense
Current certification from National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
Current American Heart Association BLS/CPR card.
