Job Description:
Responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to: providing massage to patients, teaching yoga and meditational breathing, and conducting patient lectures.
Job Requirements:
This position requires the ability to maintain a clean, safe and comfortable environment and to communicate with all levels of personnel and maintain a high level of confidentiality. Other requirements are a high school diploma, certificate in massage therapy or obtaining one within 2 years of hire; NJ State in Massage Body work and Somatic; certificate in Yoga and teaching Yoga or obtaining one within 2 years of hire; capable of lecturing about the value of massage and yoga and meditation breathing to patients in addiction. Experience with an addicted population preferred as well as an understanding of an abstinent 12 step recovery way of life. Must demonstrate clear communication ability and scheduling ability; must work with the clinical team in scheduling and being reliable with time management and organization of daily activities; must possess a compassionate and understanding posture toward patients with addiction. Candidate must be very clear with personal boundaries; must abide by all HIPAA laws, maintaining confidentiality of all patient and family information; must demonstrate flexibility and an ability to speak directly with supervisor, problem solving and remaining positive during periods of change in the patient schedule.
