Job Description: Linde is currently seeking a Security and Emergency Response Manager to join the team in Stewartsville, New Jersey.
Job Responsibilities:
▪ Work in partnership with RNA SHEQ and all business function to develop and implement security and emergency response standards, guidelines, processes and best practices in accordance with DHS, C-TPAT, C-FATS, TWIC, ACC Responsible Care, CGA and other internal and regulatory initiatives ▪ Manage and develop the Emergency Response capabilities of Lindes On Alert program ▪ Oversee Emergency Response operations for all Lines of Business within the RBU ▪ Monitor emergency response calls. Develop an evaluation process to critique calls striving for continuous improvement. ▪ Manage the primary and secondary emergency communication systems to ensure they are functional and up-to-date. ▪ Liaise as Community Awareness Emergency Response (CAER) Coordinator for Linde. Perform training with community emergency response and fire department personnel ▪ Develop IMSS Chapters for Emergency Response and Hazardous Materials management to include training and equipment specifications. ▪ Determine emergency response equipment needs for senior management approvals. Evaluate new equipment as it becomes available. Purchase and distribute equipment in consideration of use and budgetary controls. ▪ Act as Incident Commander during major responses/incidents. Mobilize HIRT teams when necessary. Liaison with local authorities during major emergency responses. ▪ Participate in industry associations (CGA) and committees as required ▪ Participate on Regional and Global Teams of Experts relating to security and emergency response ▪ Assist with the development of RBU Crisis Management, Business Recovery and Business Continuity activities to ensure all security and emergency response aspects are addressed ▪ Serve as the RBU NA point of contact for implementation of security improvements and to resolve security issues to ensure sound decisions around risk vs. cost ▪ Oversee RBU NA travel alerts and issue advisory notices for businesses travelers and international assignees ▪ Develop US security evacuation procedures ▪ Conduct, update and audit appropriate security vulnerability risk assessments in accordance with governmental and industry related legislation and standards ▪ Develop and implement site security standards taking into account global standards on site security and local conditions/risks ▪ Develop and implement processes to address supply chain security regulations and issues ▪ Support and train SHEQ Field Support on specific security and emergency response processes and audit program requirements ▪ Provide support and expertise to location managers and SHEQ Field Support teams during regulatory inspections and visits such as Homeland Security ▪ Conduct audits in support of the annual RBU NA audit plan ▪ Develop and conduct training on security and emergency response processes ▪ Keep abreast of security and emergency response legislation and industry guidelines (current and pending) and assist the business in identifying impacts and solutions for compliance
Job Requirements: Minimum Qualifications:
▪ Bachelor Degree - Safety, Engineering, Chemistry or equivalent background/experience ▪ Minimum 10 Years experience in security and emergency response field ▪ Minimum 10 Years industrial gases experience ▪ Knowledge of security and emergency response standards, processes, systems and tools ▪ Ability to understand and work with regulatory and industry requirements that impact security and emergency response ▪ Knowledge of company products and chemicals, processes and equipment ▪ Ability to build effective working relationships across all levels of management and cultural boundaries ▪ Excellent communication and facilitation skills ▪ Proven influencing skills ▪ Strong analytical skills ▪ Capable of performing under-pressure during crisis ▪ Excellent computer literacy (ideally including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) ▪ Experience using security risk assessment techniques ▪ Working knowledge of DHS, C-TPAT, C-FATS, TWIC, ACC Responsible Care ▪ Travel up to 50%
