Job Description:
Responsible for large scale projects, including detailing glass facades and retail/office design. Under the supervision of a principal architect assumes the responsibility for design authorship of complex architectural documents. Using Microstation and other complex architectural software, lead the programming effort, develop building permit documents as well as construction and detail documents, coordinate outside consultants, assist with staff management, review U.S. and European (German/Italian) project specifications, administrate construction process, and participate in client relations and business development functions. Assist principal architect in consulting with client to determine functional and spatial requirements of new residential structures and commercial interior renovations. Produce building designs that are within restraints of time and budget and in accordance with foreign (European) building codes. Research and analyze zoning and building codes and compare them with German and other European and other codes and architectural projects. Prepare information regarding design, materials, color, equipment, appliances and fixture selections. Plan layout of projects and integrate engineering elements into unified design for U.S. and foreign (European) client review and approval.
Job Requirements:
Master’s Degree in Architecture and 1 years of work experience in the job or Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture and 5 years of work experience in the job, any suitable combination of education, training and work experience acceptable;
